1. Who we are

Empire Scottsdale is a coworking space and social club at 3625 N Bishop Ln, Scottsdale, AZ 85251, operated by Desert Defenestration LLC (“Empire”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal information we collect through empirescottsdale.com and our services, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. The short version

This website does not use cookies, advertising pixels or tracking. We count visits with privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics.
We collect information when you book a tour, inquire about an event, become a member, make a payment, apply to an event guest list or visit the building.
We do not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information at any time.

3. Information we collect

Information you give us

Tour, event and sponsorship requests, and questions sent through our contact form: your name, email, phone number, company, the details of your request and whether you asked for news from us.
Membership: your contact details, company, billing details and the information in your member profile.
Payments: payment details are entered directly with our payment processor. We do not see or store full card numbers.
Event guest-list applications: your name, contact details and the answers you give, which may include your professional background and social media profile.
Messages: anything you send us by email, phone or text.

Information collected when you visit Empire in person

Building access and room-booking records for members.
Photography and video: we photograph and film many events and may use the images on our website and social media. If you would rather not appear, tell a member of staff at the event, or contact us afterwards and we will remove images of you from our channels where we can.

Information collected automatically

Our website host keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. These logs are kept for a short time and are not used to profile visitors.
The website itself sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other sites and does not collect personal information.

4. How we use information

We use personal information to respond to your requests and schedule tours and events; to provide and bill for memberships, rooms and services; to manage building access and keep the space safe; to review event guest-list applications; to send you updates you have asked for, such as event invitations; to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations; and to protect our rights and resolve disputes.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, we rely on these legal bases: performing a contract with you (memberships, bookings), your consent (marketing texts and emails, guest-list applications), our legitimate interests (running and securing the business, event photography) and legal obligations (tax and accounting records).

5. Text messages

If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, we may send messages about events and invitations. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase. We do not sell or share mobile numbers or text-message consent with third parties for their own marketing.

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run Empire, under agreements that limit how they use it:

HubSpot: scheduling tours and calls, and receiving and managing inquiries, including contact-form questions.
OfficeRnD: member accounts, the Empire app, room booking and member events.
Stripe: payment processing.
SlickText: event guest-list applications and text messages.
YouTube (Google): event videos on our Events page. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play; after that, Google’s privacy policy applies.
Cloudflare (our website host): delivering the website, counting visits without cookies (Web Analytics) and passing contact-form submissions to HubSpot.
Fogo de Chão: catering details for events you book with us, when you choose their catering.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect people’s safety or our rights, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the business. Links to other websites (such as our sponsors) are governed by those sites’ own policies.

7. How long we keep information

We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Inquiries we don’t follow up on are deleted within two years. Member and billing records are kept for the length of the membership plus the period required for tax and accounting (generally seven years). Guest-list applications are kept for up to two years.

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

see the personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
correct it or ask us to delete it;
withdraw consent you have given (for example, to marketing texts or emails);
object to or restrict certain uses, and opt out of any sale, sharing for targeted advertising or profiling (we do none of these);
complain to your local data protection authority.

To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within 30 days and will not treat you differently for exercising your rights. We may need to verify your identity first. An authorized agent may make a request on your behalf with your written permission. Because the site does no tracking, browser “Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control signals need no further action from us.

9. Security

We use reputable providers, encryption in transit (HTTPS) and limited staff access to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International visitors

Empire is based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

11. Children

Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for significant changes, let members know directly.
