Our commitment

Empire Scottsdale wants everyone to be able to use our website and enjoy our space. We aim for this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What we’ve done

• Text and controls meet AA color-contrast requirements, and every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a “Skip to content” link.
• Every photo has a written description, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
• Pages use a logical heading structure and labeled navigation, and they reflow to a 320px-wide screen and 200% zoom without sideways scrolling.
• Motion is limited, and animations switch off when your device is set to reduce motion.
• Videos don’t autoplay, and nothing plays until you choose to.
• We test every page with automated accessibility checks and by hand on phones, tablets and desktops.

Known limitations

• Booking, member login, payments and the Inner Circle application are provided by other companies (HubSpot, OfficeRnD, Stripe and SlickText). We choose providers that support accessibility, but we don’t control their pages.
• Event videos are hosted on YouTube, and some don’t yet have captions. We are adding them.
• The floor plan PDF is a drawing. Its main details are described on our Meeting Spaces page, and we’re happy to talk you through the layout.
